While the discussion of RDFa and microformats has been ongoing through the web development community for years, Google recently announced explicit support for both kinds of structured data. Is there room for both in the future, or do we need a true standard to rally around? I dunno. Maybe you do.

The idea of companies building web teams is not new, but the debate over what department they should sit in remains a hot one. From my experience and perspective, housing them anywhere but marketing makes no sense, since a website is simply another wheel on the marketing vehicle.

While this site continues to plod along with infrequent content, I have spilled some words on the other domains just so you can all get your Kevin Potts fix. Yes, I am scratching my need to write. No, I am not writing another book. OR AM I?

Part of being a good web designer is accurately scoping and fairly pricing a new project for a client, but part of that conversation has to involve educating the client on how not to waste their own money on bad communication, fruitless design efforts, and delaying the delivery of key assets.

I tried. I really did. I scoured the web, tested site after site and product after product. But no matter how far I searched, Google sucked me back into their fold like a dying star dragging every orbiting body into its ever-expanding sphere.
